Definitions for the terms used throughout Equali
- Financial Entry: An individual financial movement, such as a sale, refund, chargeback or fee, from a given input source.
- Internal (Input Source): An input source used to reflect the primary internal source of truth that you would like to reconcile. This could be an internal ledger, e-Commerce platform, order management system (OMS), ERP report or some other internal representation of financial movements.
- PSP (Input Source): An input source used to reflect your payment provider’s representation of your financial movements to reconcile versus data from an internal input source.
- Settlement: A group of one or more financial entries from your payment provider. Reflects all financial entries included in the aggregated net or gross settlement made by your payment provider to you.
- Transaction: A group of one or more financial entries from one or more input sources. Reflects all financial movements for an order from your customer or end-user, which could be an order from a checkout, or a financial transaction.
